2025 Recovery Day at the Mariners Recap

Nearly 3,000 people from across Washington joined us to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Recovery Day at the Mariners, filling the streets, stands, and stadium with the energy of recovery, connection, and community pride.

The day began in Occidental Square, where our bustling Services Fair offered everything from haircuts to health care. As the sun came out, our community gathered for the Recovery Rally. Mona Miller opened the rally with a heartfelt message about resilience and the power of recovery, setting the tone for a day rooted in hope and connection. She was joined by members of the Puyallup Tribe’s Reentry and Family Services program sharing the same song they share to open and close their Wellbriety meetings with. Their voices carried through the square, grounding the crowd in tradition, healing, and unity. We captured the moment with a group photo, embodying the spirit of recovery before marching together to T-Mobile Park.

Inside the stadium, the celebration continued with a vibrant Community Resource Fair in Sections 306–310, where dozens of organizations offered connection, creativity, and support. Before the game began, we took the field to honor our 2025 Recovery Champions. The ceremony also spotlighted our First Pitch Duo, Ashley McGirt and Scott Brown, who embody wellness in recovery through connection, purpose, and whole-person care.

We are deeply grateful to every volunteer, partner, sponsor, exhibitor, and planning committee member who made this day possible – and to the thousands of community members who showed up to root for recovery with us.

We are proud to honor our 2025 Recovery Champions, extraordinary individuals who embody the courage, compassion, and resilience at the heart of the recovery movement. Through peer support, mentorship, and service, they illuminate the path for others and remind us that recovery is not only possible, but also powerful. As they step onto the field, cheer loudly, stand proudly, and celebrate the hope they bring to communities across Washington State.
