Listening Across Washington
Before We Go to Olympia, We Listen.
Join a 2026 Listening Session and help shape WRA’s 2027 legislative priorities.
What Should Washington’s Recovery Community Prioritize in 2027?
Every year, the Washington Recovery Alliance listens to communities across the state before developing our legislative priorities. This year, we’re taking those conversations into more communities across Washington.
We want to hear directly from people in recovery, families, peers, providers, recovery community organizations, community leaders, and others who experience Washington’s behavioral health and recovery systems firsthand.
The priorities should come from what communities are actually experiencing across Washington.
-
What’s working?
-
Where are people getting stuck?
-
What’s missing? What needs more support?
-
And what are policymakers not talking about that they should be?
What we hear during Listening Across Washington will help shape WRA’s 2027 legislative priorities and prepare our community for Recovery Advocacy Day on February 4, 2027.

What to Expect
A Listening Session is a conversation, not a presentation. You don’t need to know bill numbers or be a policy expert to participate.
Come ready to share what you’re seeing in your community, what’s working, where people are getting stuck, and what you think Washington should do differently.
Your lived experience, professional experience, and knowledge of your community all belong in the conversation.
